LUIGI CENTAURI

PANEL LEADER ITALY IOOA 2023 I LAZIO

Expert taster recognized by MIPAAF, he organizes and is responsible for numerous professional courses in olive oil tasting. In 17 years of activity, 500 tasters have been trained, most of them olive growers and then technicians in the agricultural sector, restaurant workers, sommeliers, consumers. President and Founding Member of CAPOL (Tasters Center for Olive Production of Latina) as well Panel Leader of the Professional Tasting Committee recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture which operates at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone – Latina. Since the first edition in 2005, he is also the founder and responsible of the annual competition “The Oil of the Hills, Landscapes of extra virgin olive oil and good agricultural practice of the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci”.

GIULIO SCATOLINI

PANEL LEADER | UMBRIA

Professional taster recognized by MIPAAF since 1993, in 1995 he became panel leader of the COI. Under his leadership, the panel of Aprol Perugia was the first of a producers' association in the world to receive the COI recognition during 1997. In 2007 the Ministry of Agriculture recognized him as Panel Leader of the Unaprol tasting group. Since 2011, he has been the panel leader and external advisor of the Gambero Rosso Oil Guide. Since 2014 he has been directing the course for panel leaders of the ICQRF/MIPAAFT technicians. In May 2022, on behalf of the Spanish training institution EPA, he designed and conducted a recognized training course for crusher technicians in Jaén (Andalusia). He is a founding member and president of the ACAP (Association of Panel Leaders).

MARINO GIORGETTI

PANEL LEADER | ABRUZZO

Expert taster recognized by MIPAAF, professor of sensory analysis and panel leader for the most important international extra virgin olive oil competitions, Marino is the technical director – panel leader of the Sol d’Oro International Competition since its first edition 21 years ago. Marino, one of the first panel leaders in the world (1989), travels across various continents as a business consultant for the improvement of the quality of extra virgin olive oils. He is a trainer of oil sommeliers and tasters for panel tests. He writes numerous publications on the oil subject and he is often invited to hold seminars and tasting sessions.


DOMENICA LUANA LEO IMPERIALE

PANEL LEADER | PUGLIA

Professional taster since 1997, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies. Since 1999 she has been the Panel Leader and in charge of the CNO tasting group (today known as Italia Olivicola) at Finoliva Global Service S.p.a. She is the Head of analysis and quality control laboratory of Finoliva Global Service S.p.a. Member of the national commissions of the following awards: Ercole Olivario, Sirena d’Oro, Biol, etc… Founding member and vice-president of ACAP (Association of Panel Leaders).

GIOVANNI PIPOLO

PANEL LEADER | CAMPANIA

Professional ONAOO taster since 1992, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. Chemistry teacher, panel leader of the Salerno Chamber of Commerce since 1998, panel leader and secretary of the jury of the first fifteen editions of the "Sirena D' Oro" competition in Sorrento, responsible for numerous professional olive oil tasting courses. Founding member of ACAP (Association of Panel Leaders).

GIUSEPPE CICERO

PANEL LEADER | SICILIA

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences, taster recognized by MIPAAF of virgin and extra virgin olive oils in accordance with EEC Reg. 2568/91. Winemaker diploma issued by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. Panel Leader certificate recognized by the COI. Panel Leader in charge of the Ragusa Chamber of Commerce tasting committee for the certification of Monti Iblei PDO oils and of the IRVO of Palermo for the certification of PGI Sicily oils. Member of the national commissions for the "Ercole Olivario", "Sol d'Oro", "Sirena d'Oro", "Leone d'Oro" competitions.

GIUSEPPE GIORDANO

PANEL LEADER | CALABRIA

Giuseppe Giordano, junior agronomist, works at the ARSAC (Regional Company for the Development of Calabrian Agriculture) as Agricultural Disseminator specialized in olive growing and as Panel Leader of the professional tasting committee of virgin olive oils recognized by MIPAAF. He is the organizer and teacher of training courses for virgin olive oil tasters and participates as a judge in various national and international competitions in the sector. He is a founding member of ACAP (Association of Panel Leaders) and member of the Board of Directors of I.N.A.P (National Institute of Bread Tasters). He is a rapporteur at the Slow Food oil and coffee courses. Master taster of ONAS (National Organization of Salumi tasters).

ANTONELLA SIMONETTI

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Professional taster recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, who works in Latina at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone - Latina and at the Service Center of the Lazio Industrial Consortium headquarters in Latina. Member of the CAPOL tasting committee. Since 2022 she has been participating in local, national and international courses for tasting olive oils. She was a founding member and is currently a counselor of the CAPOL Association, for which she has curated (since 2005) the editions of the competition "The Oil of the Hills, Landscapes of extra virgin olive oil and good agricultural practice of the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci”.


ALBERTO BONO

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences, taster of virgin and extra virgin olive oils in accordance with EEC Reg. 2568/91, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. Member of the professional tasting committee of CAPOL which operates in Latina for the organoleptic certification of virgin olive oils at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone – Latina. He is a founding member and currently vice-president of CAPOL. Over the years he has participated in the selection of oils for “The Oil of the Hills, Landscapes of extra virgin olive oil and good agricultural practice of the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci”. Agronomist, expert in olive growing and oil technology, he is a consultant for many companies in Lazio.



FRANCESCO D'AMBROSIO

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Agronomist and taster registered in the national list of experts and technical olive oil tasters at MIPAAF (Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies). Partner of CAPOL and member of the Panel recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture which operates at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone - Latina and at the Service Center of the Lazio Industrial Consortium, Latina office.


IGINA DE SANTIS

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Professional taster recognized by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, who works at the Frosinone-Latina Chamber of Commerce and at the Service Center of the Lazio Industrial Consortium headquarters in Latina. Member of the CAPOL tasting committee and of the national commissions for the “Ercole Olivario” and “L’Orciolo d’Oro” awards, as well as the commission of the regional competition “Orii del Lazio – Masterpieces of Taste”. Since the first edition in 2005, she takes care of the organization of the annual competition “The Oil of the Hills, Landscapes of extra virgin olive oil and good agricultural practice of the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci”.

ISABELLA SPATOLISANO

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Taster registered in the National List of technicians and experts of virgin and extra virgin olive oils. She plays a support role in the organization of activities at the CAPOL Association of Latina, of which she is a member from 2014 to the present day. She has been a member of the tasting panel in the last seven editions of “The Oil from the Hills” competition in the province of Latina. Member of the tasting panel in the XXIV edition of "Orii del Lazio" Agro Camera - Rome Chamber of Commerce.


FRANCESCO LE DONNE

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Expert taster, registered in the National List of technicians and experts of virgin and extra virgin olive oils - Lazio Region division. Since 2015 he has been a member of the CAPOL official panel, recognized by MIPAAF. Onav wine taster registered in the National Register of Wine tasters. In 2019 he was a member of the national commission for the “Olio Capitale” award and a member of the panel jury of the competition “The Oil of the Hills” in the province of Latina. He participated in the “Evo Days” at the Verona Fair “Sol d’Oro Northern Hemisphere”. Since 2016 he is a taster for the international guide “Flos Olei”.



MARISA PIETROSANTI

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences, professional taster recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, who works in the Frosinone - Latina Chamber of Commerce and at the Service Center of the Lazio Industrial Consortium based in Latina. Member of the CAPOL testing committee, since 2002 she has been participating in local, national and international courses and competitions for tasting virgin olive oils. She was a founding member and is currently a counselor of the CAPOL Association, for which she has curated (since 2005) the editions of the competition "The Oil of the Hills, Landscapes of extra virgin olive oil and good agricultural practice of the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci”.



CATULLO MANCIOCCHI

Taster registered in the National List of technicians and experts of virgin and extra virgin olive oils since 2013. Certificate of Panel Leader achieved in 2019. Over the years he has obtained various certificates in tasting: cheese introduction course, 2011; olive taster, 2016; wine knowledge and tasting course, 2019. Member who operates at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone – Latina and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. Creator and speaker of "EVOØlution - Past, present and future of Italian and worldwide Olive Culture" - Workshop and Master Class in Belgium and Denmark.

Taster of the professional tasting committee recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture which operates at the Chamber of Commerce of Rome – Commodity Chemical Laboratory of the Rome Chamber of Commerce for the certification of the PDO Sabina. Taster of the professional tasting committee recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture which operates at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone - Latina and at the Service Center of the Lazio Industrial Consortium.


DAMIANO PASCIUTO

TASTER FROM THE CAPOL TASTING COMMITTEE RECOGNIZED BY MIPAAF

Agro-technician who works at the Regional Agriculture Directorate of the Lazio Region. Expert taster and counselor of the CAPOL Association, since 2009 he is a member of the professional tasting committee recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture which operates at the Chamber of Commerce of Frosinone - Latina and at the Service Center of the Lazio Industrial Consortium. He has participated as a member of the jury in the tasting panels of the following competitions: “L’Orciolo d’Oro”, national competition of "Enohobby" extra virgin olive oils, "Biol Innova competition", international competition "Sirena D'Oro of Sorrento", international competition "Lodo", oil competition "Extragargano" - Vieste.
